When Sonic discovered his scheme, he grabbed the Trickster and used him as a human shield, threatening to let one of the Trickster’s traps, a giant toy wrecking ball, hit him unless he reverted to his true form, which he did. the Trickster accidentally gave himself away by speaking in rhyme to Sonic. The Trickster then led Sonic through the Zone, where he had set up a bunch of giant killer toys to attack Sonic. He then opened a portal to his Secret Zone and traveled there with Sonic, where a floating television played a recording of him to taunt Sonic. Posing as Tekno, the Trickster came and disabled the smart missile when Sonic was trying to decide which of its wires to pull out. Meanwhile, the Trickster detected Tekno the Canary hacking into his computer network, so he captured her to keep her from interfering in his plans and used shapeshifting technology to impersonate her and lure Sonic into a trap. The missile gave Sonic four rhyming riddles to solve, while also forcing him to square off against old foes, before he got the opportunity to deactivate the missile. His first move was sending a Smart Missile to Metropolis City destroy Sonic the Hedgehog.
The Trickster decided to amuse himself by trying to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog. When the Trickster inherited his father's wealth, he would use it to finance advanced machines, including a dimension-traveling device which he used to discover a Secret Zone, which he made his private domain. The Trickster was the son of a mega-successful toy maker. The Trickster sports a pink blazer which does not completely cover his stomach and has one yellow button and a yellow button on each cuff, a green, long-sleeved shirt, yellow necktie, a brown belt with a gold buckle, blue jeans, and light brown loafers with pink lines on top. He also has large, round ears, with a gold earring on his left ear, and large, wild, grey hair. His left eye has a pink iris, while his right eye has no iris and a much smaller pupil than his left eye. The Trickster has a round nose, three wrinkles on his forehead, and only one tooth in his mouth, which sticks out when his mouth is closed. The Trickster is a short human, roughly the same height as Sonic, with an ape-like face.
